Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone?
No. Shadow uses iPhone developer tools to simulate a GPS location. Setup requires Developer Mode, but it does not require a jailbreak.
What do I need to get started?
An iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later, a Mac or Windows PC, a USB cable, and your Apple ID for installation. You'll also enable Developer Mode, connect the LocalDevVPN helper, and sign in with your email. The setup guide explains each step.
How does Shadow change my location?
Shadow changes the GPS location reported by iOS. Apps that request your phone's location can receive that simulated position. How an app responds depends on the app.
Do I need my computer every time?
After setup, you can change your location from Shadow Mobile without a computer nearby. Refresh the app on your iPhone every 6 days to keep it installed. A computer is needed for installation, updates, or reinstalling if the app expires.
Is there a free version?
Yes. Shadow Mobile gives you 10 minutes of location changes every day after setup and email sign-in. No card required. Paid plans remove the daily limit and include routes, scheduled moves, and saved places.
How is the price shown and charged?
Current plan prices are shown in USD in the pricing section. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the charge appears on your statement as SHADOW.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Visit https://hideshadow.app/billing and sign in with your purchase email and the code we send. Choose Cancel renewal to stop the next payment. Your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. You can also manage payment details and receipts there.
How do I activate a paid plan?
Sign in to Shadow Mobile with the email you used to buy your plan. You can also use the backup licence key sent by email after your payment is confirmed.
Can I get a refund?
Open a support ticket on Discord or email support and tell us what went wrong. Refund requests are reviewed individually under the policy on our Terms page.
Can I use Shadow with any app?
Check the rules of the apps you use. Some apps and games prohibit simulated locations, and you are responsible for how you use Shadow.
